Care

Do not wash or dry clean — brush or wipe clean with a damp rag. Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance. To prevent the transfer of oils, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact between Filson oil finish goods and light-colored fabrics, especially in warm weather.

The base is our Mackinaw Wool Work Jacket–dense, warm, and trusted for generations. Over the shoulders and arms, a cape of waxed-cotton Cover Cloth adds water resistance where it’s needed most. The hip-length cut allows easy movement and access to pockets, whether you’re working in the field or taking to town. Unbreakable metal snaps fasten easily, even with gloves on. Snap-flap pockets keep essentials secure, with an extra layered accessory pocket and open-stow inside.
